Sierra Leone Projects
Kids Action has been privileged to look after a children’s home in Sierra Leone since 2004.
It has been a great success story. From its humble beginnings in a one room flat during the war looking after a bunch of abandoned kids to a secure and happy home in the outskirts of Freetown.
We have seen the kids grow up as one big family. And just like a family some have gained a bit of independence. Sylvia is training to be a nurse; Mariama is now at Boarding School. But they all come home at special occasions such as Christmas.
The ones in the home still need fed, clothed, educated and cared for. And we also support those who have left especially if they have returned to poor families.
